Many congratulations to Alan Thorpe who was elected as a Life Member of Farnham CC at last week’s AGM in recognition of his commitment and service to the Club during some 35 years of membership.

As a player Alan scored over 11,000 runs for Farnham CC 1st XI, including eleven centuries, and, including Sunday and midweek matches, he totalled more than 20,000 runs for the Club- something of a record. In addition to this he also captained sides, served on the Committee, acted as Fixtures Secretary, and coached in the junior section for a number of years.
